Ruby on Rails Issues…

So I am super super new to learning Ruby on Rails and am going through a book (Simply Rails 2 from Sitepoint.com) and so far it’s been going really well, and I’m starting to learn some stuff. But of course, I’ve run into a problem, which seems crazy since I’m just doing what the book says, but I thought I’d through it out there and see if any smart people had any ideas for me. Let me know if I’m not even providing enough info.

When I press “Shove it” it’s supposed to update the score and do the highlight effect. Instead I press the button and nothing happens, however I know the vote/shove is being received because I can refresh the page and see the score increased.

Any ideas for a guy trying to learn all this?
